I hope your last week has been good, mine has been all over. But
that's normal these days.
Not a whole lot to say this week, just working with the Bonn members,
helping out the Bonn sisters (surprisingly often I'm not sure why),
lots of traveling, spent almost an entire day on a train, I'm
accidentally learning Spanish, and my parents were wonderful and sent
us some root beer extract so we've been trying to brew recently.
I suppose I'll share one story from yesterday evening.
We were out in Sankt Augustin dropping by on some people and we were
close by a member who we helped move a few weeks ago. We thought we'd
just stay a moment but ended up chatting with her for about 45
minutes. She began by explaining how busy she was with this and that
and was beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. We shared the 'prince
of peace' video that the church made last Easter and shared our
thoughts about Christ always being by our side and really helping us
find peace. The conversation took a turn and she seemed to take on a
different light. She exclaimed how grateful she was for us randomly
dropping by and wanted us to try our best to stay faithful even after
our missions.
I like those kind of moments, seeing proof of how we help somebody can
really give you some energy.
Otherwise just normal mission life. Today we attempted to take a tour
of a gummy bear factory which unfortunately didn't work out. So
instead we got some fancy cheese and one of the Euskirchen sisters
showed us some Pizza Hut recipes. we had a grand old time.
Also due to a policy change in our mission, letters and packages no
longer go through the mission office and will instead just get sent
right to the missionaries apartment.
So for candy, riddles, or if you just feel like stalking me,
