Week 79 DTF Jun

Hey everybody! sorry it's been such a long time, but i can give y'all something to read to day.

My mission president and his wife are both South African and every time they answer the phone or answer a question they always say "Yeahbo" and it is super odd. but, they got me saying it. and it is killing me and all those around me. crazy zulus hahha.

I have been transferred to a place in far western Kenya names "Kisumu" it is right on lake Victoria and super green and lush and beautiful which is sick.
My new companion is named Elder Bigirindavi, he is Rwandan but he acts like he is from California and we are having a great time.

Anyway, something cool is that We are teaching this super cool girl named doreen. doreen is deaf, and the coolest chick ever. we write back and forth on a piece of paper for lessons and to tell jokes and stuff but she has started teaching me Kenyan sign language!! I knew a little bit of ASL from my childhood (thanks Dad) and it is very similar! She says she wants to be baptized and walks super far to get to church, but she comes every week. she is the best person I have met so far here in kisumu but I am super excited to meet more.

It's a fishing town so samaki are for sale everywhere and super cheap to eat! Not to mention the "Luo" tribe here is super tidy so the amount of garbage on the street I have to walk through is at an all time low haha.
I am really hoping I finish my mission here. it is gorgeous.

Anyway I'm praying for all of y'all back home! Hope everything is well.

Love all of y'all!

Week 85 BJF Jun

These missionaries are all

 on the road

a lot!

Taking turns driving on the Autobahn.

Germany is beautiful this time of year.

In Paderborn,

there is much to see.
 Ayyy what is uuuuppp?

I haven't really updated y'all since I got to Paderborn. I would say that's a bad thing but...there isn't really much y'all are missing. First off, I kinda gave up on the group emails over all. Don't have the interest or the motivation to write them anymore. So I guess if people want to know what's going on they'll just have to email me for once in their lives mwhuahaha. But I do like the idea of keeping y'all somewhat in the loop cuz ya know...reasons.

Paderborn life is....well...life. We do have a car but dispite the nicety of not riding buses anymore (although ironically Paderborn has the nicest buses I've ever seen) it does have draw backs. But I'm not gonna complain, just safe to say we've had a few meter maids sent on us haha.

We've also got some dope investigators. Bunch of YSA since we're a University town. Sadly not really any in our little Branch. But everytime we go to the Uni I feel really weird. Like, This is my future, these are my people, why am I in a shirt and tie? but we still missionary the crap out of 'em. I may have an issue adjusting to home hahaha. (which is very close for one of you hehehe). But yeah, like I said, lots of Uni students. We met with a lady from China yesterday who was super cool. She told us she Studies in English (like textbooks and tests, all in English) but all her classes are in German. Like what.
There are also a couple dudes from China who don't speak any English or German. Like wth, how are you here?

Butt, yeah. Life.
